Privacy policy
We keep this simple: we collect very little, and we never sell it.

Who we are
This website is run by Cracking Coconuts, a mental health podcast with three hosts. We're responsible for any personal information you share with us here.
For privacy questions or requests, use our contact form and choose the "Privacy question / delete my data" topic.
What we collect
Only what you type into our forms: your name (optional for questions and guest ideas), email address, your question or message, who you'd like to answer it, any guest you suggest, and whether you'd like podcast updates. If you sign up for updates, we keep your email address on our updates list.
What we don't collect
- Your answers to the "Find your fit" questionnaire. They stay in your browser and disappear when you close it.
- Tracking or advertising cookies. See our cookie notice.
- We don't sell, rent or share your information for marketing.
Why we use it and how long we keep it
We use your message to read it, reply, answer it on the show, or consider your guest idea. Anonymous questions are never read out with a name. We never read out your email address, and we won't read out your name without asking you first.
We only send podcast updates if you ticked the box or signed up. You can unsubscribe any time by using the link in any update or contacting us.
We keep messages for up to 12 months, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner. We keep your updates email until you unsubscribe.
Our legal basis is your consent when you send us a message, and our legitimate interest in replying.
Where it's stored
Messages are stored securely with our hosting provider, which may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards. Only the three hosts can read them.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority:
- UK: Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk)
- India: Data Protection Board of India, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023
- UAE: UAE Data Office, under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021
- Elsewhere: your national data protection authority

This site isn't aimed at under-18s, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
